Dr. Gupta

Dr. Gupta was born and raised in southeastern Michigan. He is a graduate of Troy High school and was a math and science nerd (see picture). The dream was always to be in healthcare, but he majored in biomedical engineering because it was more practical. He obtained his bachelors and masters from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He graduated from the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry in 2010, where he was fortunate enough to meet his wife, Vijayata, who currently practices as a general practitioner in Brighton, MI. After graduation, he tried everything – he taught at the University of Detroit-Mercy Dental School in the simulation and cadaver labs, worked in private practice in Warren, MI, and then did a 1-year fellowship in Anesthesia at the University of Indiana. He finally found his path through oral and maxillofacial surgery and graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2017. He is board-certified and has hospital privileges at Ascension Hospital.
